Mind You
What unknowable thing is a mind.
It must begin as atoms in molecules (1),
combined into a numeric pattern (2)
comprising a formation of thought (3)
rendered into a portrait of words (4)
sent to the muscles of the hand (5)
spelled out in a language of icons (6)
representing combinations of sounds (7)
that symbolize the generator thoughts (8)
transcribed to a medium, visible words (9)
received by eyes (10)
processed as concepts (11)
examined as the represented thoughts (12),
or facsimile thereof (13).
One mind has attended to another.
One mind has sent to another.
How exquisitely beautiful, this mind that
appreciates and enjoys and loves all things,
while it kills the Earth and Earth's life
because it does not know itself.
These minds, so profoundly able,
succumbed to entertainment of themselves.
This mind, superbly wise, asked questions it could not answer,
created problems it could not solve,
spoke to itself but did not understand.
How cunning is this mind, whatever enemies it may have,
wherever it might be located, it cannot be found.
